13 Movies with the word Maze in the title

You know the movie has the word Maze in the title, but you aren’t quite sure what the full title is. I can help. I have pulled together the 13 most popular movies with maze in the title. If the movie contains a maze or labyrinth as part of the story, I will watch and review the movie. Check out this list where I give you a description, a poster, some information about the movie and for a few a link to my review of the movie. If none of these movies are what you are looking for, maybe it is part of this other post: 12 Movies with the word Labyrinth in the title.

I break these “Maze” films into 4 sections:

The Maze Runner Movies:

The Maze Runner (2014) - (IMDB) (my review)

The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015) - (IMDB)

The Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) - (IMDB) (my review)

Maze Runner Trilogy posters

This trilogy of movies are based off the very popular books written by James Dashner. The overall story starts with our main character not having a memory and being stuck in the middle of a large maze with a group of other boys. They must work together to escape. In movie #2 they have the new challenge of a barren landscape. And in the final movie they learn what the whole ordeal is all about while breaking into a maze. The movies also have some great posters if you like mazes and labyrinths !

The Horror Movies:

I find that a maze can become an effective plot device in a horror movie, as evidenced by the list below. Being lost in a maze creates tension and you never know what you are going to find around a corner.

Woman in the Maze (2023) - (IMDB).

Maze of the Week #107 - Penguin

Maze of the Week #107 is of another animal, a Penguin. Did you guess correctly based on this preview? The shape of the preview made it very difficult to guess IMO. I did the maze this week to celebrate Penguin Awareness Day which is on January 20.

5 Labyrinths to Visit in Alaska

So you want to visit a labyrinth in Alaska. I can help. I have selected 5 of the best (there are just over a dozen) that are accessible to the public from around the state, focusing on large population areas. If you want a full list of labyrinths in the state check out the Worldwide Labyrinth Finder.

Why visit a Labyrinth ?

Labyrinths are ancient and mysterious symbols that have been used for centuries for meditation, contemplation, and spiritual renewal. They are also a lot of fun to explore! If you're looking for a unique and challenging experience, walk a labyrinth with intention - it often leads to self-discovery. Personally, I like to walk labyrinths between dawn and sunrise or at sunset until dusk, but any time of day works. You may not realize it, but there is probably a labyrinth near where you live. Today we explore…

5 Labyrinths to Visit in AlaSKa

1. St. Mary's Episcopal Church Stepping Stone Labyrinth

This is a very unique construction of a labyrinth and had to make the list. The pathways of the classical labyrinth are made of stepping stones on the grass (or snow depending on your visit time). If you visit their website you can find a photo of it on the homepage.

5 TIPS FOR VISITING A LABYRINTH

  1. Set an intention for your walk so you can walk with purpose. It could be prayer, reflection, meditation, contemplation, or openness.

  2. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing a lot of walking.

  3. Typically this would read “Bring water with you, especially if you are visiting on a hot day.”, but for Alaska I would just say - Dress for the weather !

  4. Take your time and enjoy the experience. There is no need to rush through a labyrinth.

  5. Be respectful of other visitors. This includes not making noise and being respectful if walking with other people.
