2ND PLACE - 2023 MAZE OF THE YEAR FOR THIS SITE

One of the most famous buildings in the world. The Taj Mahal is located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India and was finished way back in 1653. I wanted to make it into a maze because the details on the front of the building make it a wonderful subject to draw. You can plan a trip on the government website. It seems that there are many attractions nearby, like Agra Fort and Itimad-Ud-Daulah to make a wonderful trip.

Let’s get a quick tour of the grounds and inside before we get to my maze:

Maze information: I made this with a lot of detail. It is sized as 43x28 and in order to solve this you need to print on poster sized paper or do the maze online. This is actually 2 mazes in one. Tower to tower is the main maze and a bonus maze is contained in the central dome:

The Maze: It is minor, but I changed the font that I typically use to name the building. A more ornate font seemed more appropriate for the Taj Mahal. As for the drawing of the building, I kept putting more and more details into it, despite almost all of them having no relation to the mazes. Eventually I stopped - but I might always go back and add more detail (the advantage of making digital art !).
